Fond memories and grand plans…

Many of the happiest times in our lives have happened over meals…at family feasts, intimate dinners, or picnics with friends. It’s no surprise that eating together has given us some of our fondest memories. That’s where we share our hearts, we love and laugh, and feel wonderfully safe and secure.

The Bible is full of stories that center around dinners. Some are elaborate celebrations, and others are surprisingly simple, but all of them have a profound message of affection and encouragement. In this book, Kristie McCrary serves a seven-course meal of insightful studies that inspire us, encourage us, and challenge us to liberally use the secret sauce of love to turn every meal into a lavish banquet of creativity, kindness, and laughter.

The table is such a significant place of relational influence and connection. In her book, The Perfect Dinner Guests, Kristie McCrary beautifully portrays the gift of hospitality and its contribution to Gods work in people’s lives. She reminds us that the table is a place to pause and enjoy relationship with Jesus and each other. Each chapter is filled with graceful encounters around a meal with practical application from some of the most loving and graceful people I know. This book inspires and encourages everyone to ‘stir up love and good works’ in our interaction with those we know and love.

One of the books I’ve really enjoyed during a season of grieving is a book that has nothing to do with grief! When Kristie McCrary sent her book to me, it took me into another world, away from my loss. Her family stories, dinner stories and Bible stories are interwoven, taking me into rooms, realm, conversations and experiences that revealed the Love of God to me in fresh form! I recommend you read this book, and get a few copies for friends. Guys, this isn’t a “chick-book.” I’ve gotten some great message material from Kristie’s thoughts!

Books are the greatest missionaries because they never go to sleep. Everyone needs to get a copy of Kristie’s latest book, The Perfect Dinner Guests!
